Child-centred, curiosity-led and educator supported learning and connecting through play on the land. Each day includes warm and connected social gathering times with oral storytelling, lunch time storybooks or discussions, and an opening and closing sharing circle.
Our days include a hike out, and the options of playing with art, large loose parts and science investigations. The days on the land offer periods of deep immersive play with educators playing alongside, scaffolding learning and supporting children in staying safe and kind together.
The Wolf programs include projects on the land together, which your young people imagine up, design and roll out together. Projects have included creating new play spaces, building new gardens, planting garlic, and designing bug hotels.
Our approach is emergent and responsive which means each day is unique and child-centred. To learn more about the Out to Play Wolf Program, please read through our website: https://outtoplay.ca/farm-and-forest-school/

"We are so, so lucky to be part of your amazing program. What you have done out there is just incredible; there is NOTHING comparable in and around Ottawa, and we tried everyone on before we settled. It feels GOOD to invest in my child’s program when I know the opportunity afforded to him by loving and supportive staff. Y’all feel like family to me."
"Amazing educators that respect the diversity of the children and support them with all their needs daily. They are kind, caring, and outgoing, and always have time to answer questions when I’m doing pick up or drop off. Highly recommend!"
