Child-centred, curiosity-led and educator supported learning and connecting through play on the land. Each day includes storybooks, circle time, a hike out, and the options of playing with art materials, large loose parts, science investigations and more, with periods of deep immersive play.
This program takes place from 9-12:00 on Tuesdays from September 10 to June 17 at the Out to Play Centre. Parking is at NCC Greenbelt P2. There are 37 program days and two Saturday Family Gathering Days, October 26 and May 24.
There is no program on December 24, December 31, January 7, or March 11.
Children in the Owl program need to be turning three in the year that they are registered. They also need to be toileting independently most of the time. Many Owls are still learning how to say goodbye to their trusted adults. We'll help you with this, and create a plan with you that works for your family. We hope you join us.

"Our boy/girl twins have been attending Out to Play Forest School since September 2023 and absolute love it. They are 3.5 years old and this is their first school experience. The forest guides are always so friendly and welcoming to our babes and they always come home telling stories of all their adventures." - RP
"Nothing but excellent experiences with the staff and the location. We've watched our child become interested and confident in nature while remaining thoughtful and safe. The staff are caring and engaged." GC
